dog treats salmon

my dog just got home from the hospital due to salmon poisoning and ….?
he was sent home today b/c he was doing very good but now he’s at home and doesn’t want to move, he seems really tired
he doesn’t want to eat treats either
he WAS on treatment and i’m guessing he’s exhausted from that, but is there a chance that he still might be sick?
If the vet didn’t think he was well enough he wouldn’t have sent him home. Think of it this way, the poor soldier has been through the wringer and now that he’s home and in his own bed he just wants to sleep – and sleep- and sleep!!! He’s comfortable and easy in his own surroundings – in the vet’s he’d have been woken up every five minutes because of the noise etc so leave him be, leave his food near him so he doesn’t have to move too much and his water nearby too. Make sure he’s warm and cosy and let him recover in his own time, no walkies or going out to play, he’s had it real rough and just wants to rest and sleep and have his dinner when he wants it. We’re the same when we’re poorly or recovering from an illness – treat him how you’d want to be treated if you were in his position! Don’t worry too much, he’ll pick up in time but do keep your eye out for any unusual behaviour. You know him better than anyone on here after all! Best of luck to you and best wishes for a speedy recovery to your dog x
